By using this site you agree to what follows. It is short because there is not much to it.

This is a parody

The Kimmies is a work of satire. The Bureau of Honorary Titles does not exist. The titles are honorary in the sense that they are made up, and they are conferred by a website rather than by any state, government, monarchy or authority of any kind.

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, its government, or any person named in its imagery. Names and likenesses are used for the purposes of satire and commentary.

A title from this site confers no legal status, no rank, no honour, no precedence, no entitlement and no right of any kind. It will not change your name, appear on any official document, or be recognised by anyone. The entitlements described on certificates — gun salutes, ceremonial rice, commemorative statues — are jokes.

What you actually get

• An assessment that assigns you one of forty-eight titles, free of charge.
• A digital certificate you can view, share and print.
• A provisional public registry entry that remains for 14 days.
• If you ratify, the same entry becomes permanently public under its existing registration number.

The register is public. Provisional entries stop appearing publicly after 14 days, but remain privately on file and may still be ratified. You can also ask for an entry to be removed, as described in the privacy policy.

Payments and refunds

Nothing on this site is currently for sale. The assessment and the provisional certificate are free. When paid ratification opens, the following applies.

Because a registry entry is meant to be permanent, the Bureau does not offer change-of-mind refunds. That is a policy about changing your mind, and nothing more.

It does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. If something is not delivered, is not as described, or is not fit for its purpose, you are entitled to a remedy — including a refund for a major failure — regardless of anything written above or anywhere else on this site. Where any part of these terms conflicts with those guarantees, the guarantees win.

Acceptable use

Do not enter someone else’s details, or a name intended to harass, defame or impersonate. The Bureau may remove any entry from the register at its discretion, and jokes at the expense of real people who did not ask to be involved are the usual reason it would.

No warranty, and what we are responsible for

The site is provided as it is. It may be unavailable, and entries may be lost through error or fault. To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to resupplying the service or refunding what you paid for it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
